![]() Too silly and light for Active Rock, not radio-friendly enough for mainstream. "Rockstar": No single format will take this song seriously. Active Rock will go neutral on this, likely leaning in disapproval of it. Could possibly go Top 10 at CHR/Pop if the album's promotion doesn't wear itself out, and if not, certainly Top 20. The guitars are moderately strong, yet blended with a mainstream-friendly melody, and the lyrics will very likely hit home for all those frustrated singles out there who love someone but can't have him/her because that someone is with someone else. "Someone That You're With": Most likely Nickelback's best bet at an edgier-sounding song making waves at mainstream radio. If radio cuts out the repetitive "Amen, I'm alive" bridge, it'll sound the best it can for radio, and will probably peak below the Top 10 but within the Top 20 on CHR/Pop. "If Everyone Cared": Not quite as radio-friendly as "Far Away", "Photograph" and "Savin' Me", but still quite appealing for mainstream radio. "Side Of A Bullet": Releasing this will guarantee Active Rock's continuing devotion to the band when some hardcore listeners feel increasingly alienated by their further eclipse toward mainstream radio. Probably won't be Top 10 CHR/Pop material though. ![]() "Next Contestant": Best bet is Active Rock, but the lyrics may actually give it crossover appeal. Active Rock will go neutral on this, perhaps leaning in favor of it because of the lyrics, where it can possibly go Top 5 there. "Savin' Me": Top 5 hit waiting to happen on all mainstream formats. "Far Away": No matter when it's released, it's already a #1 smash waiting to happen on mainstream and will become Nickelback's second-biggest hit of their career ("How You Remind Me" will probably always remain #1 in that it topped the harder formats too). ![]() "Fight For All The Wrong Reasons": Active Rock will play this, but probably would like "Side Of A Bullet" and "Follow You Home" better. "Follow You Home": Something Active Rock will really enjoy. r/Music - An independent record store is boycotting Adeles new album after she ordered. "Rockstar" is really the only track on the album that I don't find radio-friendly. Nickelback - Savin Me Acoustic Cover by The Current Wind. After all, "How You Remind Me" was a mainstream smash that had a loud chorus. "Next Contestant" may possibly be a bit too hard for mainstream, but lyrically, I can see why you would think of this as a mainstream single candidate.
